Attuned Heart Association
Do you follow your heart or go with your gut instinct? These appear in opposition, however they are closely aligned to one another.
Scientific evidence points to what your heart is telling you. The theory of mBraining (multiple braining) explains the 3 sets of neural networks in our body, our brain, our heart, and our stomach (or gut).
Ancient scholars believed thoughts and feelings originated in the heart and stomach. Early scholars observed physical symptoms associated with agitation of the mind and heart. Therefore, people’s bodies gave evidence of their mental and emotional health.
“The ancient Egyptians considered the heart to be the centre of thought, memory and emotion. It was thus associated with intellect and personality and was considered the most important organ in the body. It was deemed to be essential for rebirth into the Afterlife. Unlike the other internal organs, it was never removed and embalmed separately, because its presence in the body was crucial.” —Egyptian-Scarabs.co.uk.
Additionally, ancient Hebrews had this to say:
“For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”–Hebrews 4:12
Finally, Greek philosopher, Aristotle recorded these words:
“And of course, the brain is not responsible for any of the sensations at all. The correct view is that the seat and source of sensation is the region of the heart.”–Aristotle
Life Coaching uncovers the heart of clients, thereby helping explore what is limiting them. Questions cause them to peel away layers burying their heart, goals, dreams and purpose. Consequently, this process creates Attuned Heart, “AHA”, moments giving individuals greater understanding into their own health.
The concept of mBraining reaffirms what ancients believed. In perfect health and understanding, all three of these neural clusters are in alignment. Alternately, when the heart, mind and stomach are out of alignment, we suffer. Our bodies are amazing creations! Conclusively, God’s Word zeroes in on this concept with these words:
He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”
–Luke 10:27
Finally, I must agree with the Psalmist’s words.
“I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;” Psalms 139:14a
