I came across this quote the other day:
“Smooth seas do not make a skillful sailor.”
Are you facing some rough waters at the moment? Trouble in your family, challenges at work, health issues? How can you face these opportunities head on and successfully navigate these storms? What skills can you learn at this moment so you can weather this storm and become a better sailor?
In the first chapter of the book of James, much focus is on trials:
James 1:2,3 “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.”
James 1:12 “Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial: for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which The Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
May God grant you the endurance during this time of testing, may He grant you wisdom to weather the storm, and may he grant you blessing for you perseverance.
