Amazing Grace

this will be the final video installment of the concert my daughter and I went to about a month ago now.  Chris Tomlin is one of the big names in Contemporary Christian Worship and the headliner of the concert. This song is a remake of an old classic with a powerful message.  The video shows clips from the movie “Amazing Grace”, which is the story of William Wilberforce, a great English member of parliament who fought tirelessly for the end ...

Living in Community

So, if you’ve been following my posts of late, my eldest daughter and I spent a day in Seattle a few weeks ago, just hanging out together and going to a concert. Last week I posted a video of one of the bands in the concert. Today the video is of another band, Tenth Avenue North. These guys are from Florida. Great music, great message about living in community with others. Enjoy!

Stormy seas

I came across this quote the other day:

“Smooth seas do not make a skillful sailor.”

Are you facing some rough waters at the moment? Trouble in your family, challenges at work, health issues? How can you face these opportunities head on and successfully navigate these storms? What skills can you learn at this moment so you can weather this storm and become a better sailor?

In the first chapter of the book of James, much focus is on trials:

James 1:2,3 “Consider it ...
